Funeral Celebrant
A carefully planned funeral ceremony is an important way to honour a life and say goodbye in a manner that is truly personal and meaningful.
As an experienced and qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant, I provide bespoke, high-quality ceremonies that reflect your wishes and your loved one’s values-whether philosophical, cultural, or spiritual.
I will take the time to get to know you and your family, to craft a ceremony that captures the essence of your loved one and celebrates the moments, memories and milestones that made their life unique. The service can include contributions from family and friends, such as readings, poetry or personal tributes-or, if you prefer, I can lead all aspects of the ceremony on your behalf.
I also specialise in creating ceremonies for those who live alternative lifestyles, including Gothic, Pagan, or other spiritual paths, ensuring every service is inclusive, authentic and deeply personal.
Arranging the Ceremony
Please feel free to contact me for an informal chat. You can call, email, or fill out the contact form to get started. If you choose for me to lead the ceremony, I’ll arrange a visit to discuss your wishes in detail.
Together, we’ll shape the service – sharing memories, stories and music choices, and selecting readings or poems that best reflect your loved one’s life and character. I will then create a unique script for your approval, giving you the opportunity to make any changes before the day.
After the ceremony, I can also provide a beautifully presented keepsake copy of the final script for you to treasure.
About Me
My Journey as a Funeral Celebrant
My path to becoming a Funeral Celebrant began during my time working for a funeral director as a Funeral Coordinator, arranging services from start to finish. It was there that I realised this was my calling – to support families through one of the most significant moments in their lives.
I trained with Regent Academy and achieved a Distinction in my City & Guilds accredited course. The training was rigorous and fully prepared me for the practical and emotional aspects of celebrant work.
My background in the NHS and community services has also helped me to develop strong listening, organisational and communication skills, and to work sensitively with people from all walks of life.
For me, being a Civil Funeral Celebrant is not just a job – it is a vocation. Every ceremony I lead is a privilege and a heartfelt opportunity to create a farewell that is both personal and meaningful.
